We started our robotics journey in 2021, testing commercial floor cleaning robots, before the technology was at stage where it could be confidently distributed to the public without consistent issue arising. In these early stages, we understood the technology wasn't where it needed to be to provide value to businesses, so we held off from distributing the robots, until we could be sure we had reliable products to offer our future clients.
It was a difficult period, as we knew it would be the future of commercial floor cleaning in Australia, and was close to operating at a satisfactory standard, but we couldn't yet give the tick of approval to any products currently on the market at that time.
The search for reliable autonomous floor cleaners, ended up taking significantly longer than we anticipated, with our team finally ironing out all the creases 2 years later towards the end of 2023. We officially released our first 2 products to the Australian market, after significant internal testing with our tick of approval in 2024.
The first 2 products were the Ecovacs K1 Vacuum and the Pudu CC1 Scrubber. These products set a solid foundation for our floor cleaning range, providing customers a high quality clean, in most cases better than they were currently receiving, and also at a fraction of the cost. The K1 and CC1 allowed us to confidently offer reliable Vacuuming and Scrubbing solutions to clients, within commercial cleaning environments, changing norms and shifting the direction of cleaning expectations, regarding cleaning standards, cleaning contracts and reliability.
We have grown and gained invaluable data on our autonomous floor cleaning range, as well as the many different environments they operate in, understanding where they excel and where they might struggle, giving us fantastic insights to recommending the best products to our clients, or simply not throwing our hat in the ring, if we know the specific environment is not favourable for the success of the robots operation.
At Universal Robotics we are passionate about Autonomous Floor Cleaning, and have dedicated years to understanding the products and application of our entire range. The compounding efforts testing and working with floor cleaning robots, has put us in a great position to identify the pros and cons of each potential working environment, allowing us to provide open and honest advice, on the best solutions for every enquiry that comes our way.
